Aug 15
Unfortunately, Storm's World Series run ended today with an epic 13-inning game against the eventual tournament champs, Muscle Shoals. Final score 1-0.
Aug 14
ABR Storm 10-Black advanced to the playoff bracket with a 3-1 record in pool play. The first playoff game ended with a HUGE walk-off win for Storm. Down by 2 in the bottom of the 6th, Arlington scored 2 to tie it. With 2 outs--ground ball to center scored the winning run. Walk-off win! Play continues tomorrow.

Aug 12
Another knock-out! Arlington beat Wenatchee, WA today 10-0 in five innings. This game confirmed that Arlington will advance to the championship bracket.
Tomorrow Arlington will play Southeastern KY. Both teams are the only undefeated teams in their division in pool play. There are 6 undefeated teams at this point. There are 25 teams competing.

Arlington Storm beats Moravia, Czech Republic, 2-1, with a great play at the plate to keep Monrovia from tying the score!
Aug 10
Arlington Storm won the first game of pool play, beating Vincennes, IN 5-3 in their opening game!
Aug 9
Dexter Hinkle won the Home Run Derby and the World Series! He qualified to advance straight to the final round and competed with two others in a 10-swing round that ended in a tie. The next 5-swing round also ended in a tie. After five rounds of sudden death, Dex emerged as the champion! Watch his final swing here!
ABR Storm 10-Black World Series Bound!
ABR Storm 10-Black, the 10u All-Star team, won their Southeast Regional tournament and are heading to the Babe Ruth World Series in Crown Point, Indiana.
They stormed through the tournament as the only undefeated team after pool play. They clinched the title with a 4-3 win over Bartow, FL on a game-ending triple play! World Series events begin Aug. 8 and continue through Aug. 18.

ABR Storm 12-Black hosted the Babe Ruth Cal Trail Virginia State Tournament, July 3-7. Sixteen teams from all over Virginia participated. Pool play games were played here in Arlington and also in Herndon. Playoff games were played in Arlington at Barcroft Park. More pictures are in the slide show at the bottom of the page.

ABR Storm ended the first day of pool play at the top of the leader board for their division with 2 wins against Williamsburg and Radford. Next game Friday, July 5 against Greene County at noon on Barcroft 1.

Storm finished pool play as the only undefeated team in their division. They will begin the playoff bracket tomorrow morning.
Storm defeated Gloucester 11-1 in the first playoff game and will advance to the semi-final game at 12:30 today.
Unfortunately, Storm's bid for the state championship ended today with a loss to neighbor Pioneer, 11-7. Lots of action and great plays throughout the week from this team. Take a look at the slideshow below.
...had a tough draw for their state tournament. After a great first-game win over Stafford, they fell to Williamsburg and then to Peachtree to end their tournament early.

...advanced to the semi-finals in their state championship undefeated before falling to Winchester. They earned the sportsmanship award and a bid to their southeast regional where they were undefeated in pool play. They lost to West Raleigh in the championship game.
...advanced to the semi-final game of their state tournament played in Winchester, before losing to a strong Peachtree team, the state champions.
9-Black SER Runner-Up
